At Canvas n Cup, founder Mahsa Ghavamian believes that art is much more than just paint on a canvas-it is a powerful medium for healing, connection, and joy. We are deeply committed to using our studio and resources to uplift our local communities, support hardworking frontline professionals, and bring smiles to those who need them most.
We are incredibly proud to partner with local organizations, hospitals, and non-profits to make a colorful impact. Here is a glimpse into some of our recent community initiatives:
Supporting Our Healthcare Heroes with a Wellness Event for Surgical Residents
General Surgery Residents dedicate their lives to learning how to save others, often working grueling 80 to 100-hour weeks. Recognizing the immense physical and mental pressure these PGY-3 surgeons-in-training face-and learning that they did not have departmental funding for wellness programs-Canvas n Cup knew we had to step in.
We proudly hosted a completely free, private wellness paint event for these incredible residents. Our goal was simple: to provide them with a much-needed creative outlet to decompress, bond as a team, and focus on their own mental well-being outside the operating room.
Bringing Art Home and Delivering Joy to the Hopkinton Respite Center
We believe that art should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they are. The Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton, MA, does extraordinary work providing emotional and physical support for individuals with disabilities and their families.
To support their incredible mission, Canvas n Cup donated batches of our signature Paint at Home Kits to the center. By bringing the Canvas n Cup studio experience directly to them, we hope to provide moments of peace, joy, and creative expression to the individuals at the center, as well as a fun activity for their dedicated caregivers.
Friends of Jack Painting for a Purpose Tile Project
We love it when creativity meets a great cause! Canvas n Cup recently partnered with the Friends of Jack Foundation to host a special tile-painting fundraiser.
Together with our amazing community of painters, we raised over $1,100 to support children's healthcare programs. But the impact didn't stop at the donation! The beautiful, vibrant tiles painted by our guests during the event were collected and used to decorate a local hospital's pediatric unit. It was an honor to help brighten the walls of the hospital, bringing color and comfort to young patients during their stay.
